True sustainable growth: Agroforestry

We aim to improve livelihoods and community welfare by setting up agroforestry systems, planting trees and crops together to provide increased access to food, and protection against the negative effects of climate change.

Creating a future together

Working closely with Ebenezer Usire Academy we aim to ensure that this project will be passed on to future generations. Students will have the opportunity to do projects in the Forest of Hope and assist natural growth as well as expansion of the planted acreage.

(Not just) trees for the community

While we are dependent on donations to get started, we expect to be practically self-funded from our 5th year onwards. This means that by 2026 the plants sown, and trees planted will sustain the forest but also local community functions such as a fresh water well.

A grassroots initiative, managed by locals

The team behind this community-based organization is comprised primarily of Kenyans with a clear and urgent interest in positive outcomes, thus ensuring long term success. To build the broadest base possible, Trees of Hope will recruit participants from the local community that can contribute in many ways and will share in the proceeds of the forest.

Experienced project manager Rhoda Amolo guarantees that donations are well spent. Donors can use the donation buttons on our website or donate through our gofundme page.

In any case: do sign up for our newsletter so we can inform you about our progress!
